I'm somewhere around 600 words for the CYOA-Supernatural, part 2. It's taking me longer than I thought because the boys just want to check each other out, not get catty with each other. *sigh* Oh, boys.

I'll write some more this evening as work looks down on the reading/writing/thinkingof porn while in the office. Stupid work.

So, to my readers:

I've started a Choose Your Own Adventure fic with the Winchester Brothers of Supernatural. I know, I know--they're all over the place these days, and with some good fucking reason! Have you seen them? Anyway.

There has been, so far, a count of twenty-five interested players. I thought I'd throw it out to anyone else on my friends-of list here that, if they're interested in getting in the mix, they better hurry over and pick where the adventure goes next.

Majority wins. Even if I really hate it, the majority vote dictates what I'll write. After all, this is really your story.

I'm only accepting votes until Sunday, 10pm.


ETA: ...and because we all know I'm a very large dork, I've created an excel spreadsheet (BMP file; sorry, all I have at work is MSPaint) to keep track of CYOA.

Last week it dawned on me that there should be a running fic(s) of Choose Your Own Adventure. I read quite a lot of these when I was a wee Cadi and, truthfully, I could totally see this being great fun for everyone involved.

Let’s test with a drabble, shall we? I’ve written a short bit of fic that’s slashy, but open to letting anything happen. Plot or no plot, I’m gonna slash me some brothers! You’re going to build this fic as you would like to see it. I’ll choose the option with the most votes and write from there!

Choose Your Own Adventure: Supernatural

Dean Winchester—aka Dean, aka Deany-Poo, aka Shithead (name chosen dependant on mood)—was sitting behind the wheel of his Impala. His eyes were closed against the bright sun that beat warmth against his reddening skin in shimmering heat waves.

Sam watched his brother from the doorway of the gas station bathroom where they pit-stopped for necessities (gas, soda, twizzlers). His brain tick-tocked in time to the roll of his brother’s head; Dean was listening to Metallica, ZZ Top, or some other out-dated, age-worn copy of Mullet Rock, and Sam could almost hear the lyrics of “Exit Light” thrum through his mind, keeping rhythm with his ticking and tocking, with his brother’s movement.

His brother’s movement. That made Sam think of—well, it made Sam think. Of other times, years before he ever left; of long, dark nights and still moments followed by his brother moving against him.

That was a long time ago, and a time neither talked about now.

“Sam,” Dean shouted, his eyes opened and focused on the bag Sam held at his side. Twizzlers—the man was crazy about twizzlers.

What happens from here?

1. Dean eats twizzlers and drives while Sam looks through local papers for spooky stuff?


2. Sam places the bag of necessities conveniently in front of his crotch and escapes into the station bathroom again?


3. Sam hops in the car, Dean turns the music up, Sam turns it back down and the brothers argue about the best way to kill/maim/havesexwith a vampire?


4. Dean, upon Sam entering the car, drags Sam into the backseat where they make out.
